Emory officially became a tobacco-free campus on January 1, 2012, prohibiting smoking and tobacco use on Emory University and Emory Healthcare properties. As a result, tobacco use has significantly declined across our campus. However, Emory, like many other universities and colleges that have adopted similar policies, continues to struggle with compliance issues.
